My CV is below.
Activism Director—Electronic Frontier Foundation
My focus is primarily on student privacy, consumer privacy, surveillance, and online speech. For example, I was honored to help Dartmouth students defend themselves against baseless cheating allegations in 2021. I also helped analyze data for and write our research project, Red Flag Machine, which describes how a student monitoring tool in use across the country flags everyday content, endangering students’ privacy and free expression. I also coordinate and promote various activism projects at EFF, as well as guide EFF’s social media tactics and develop and review EFF’s online digital advocacy. I try to identify strategic opportunities for EFF to impact public conversations and advance our mission through advocacy, and develop creative advocacy responses to those opportunities. Additionally, I publicly represent EFF positions in the media, to policy makers, and to peer advocacy organizations.
